Asbestos Management Plans

The best and safest thing to do with asbestos is to pay for it to be removed by qualified professionals; if you don’t get it removed then you will have to create an Asbestos Management plan. Today we will be talking about Asbestos Management Plans, why to make one and what should be in it.

Why do we have Asbestos Management Plans?

The main goal of these plans is to prevent the release of asbestos fibres until the ACM (Asbestos-Containing Material) in a building is scheduled to be professionally removed.

Content of the plan

In your Plan you should include: The person responsible for managing asbestos; an asbestos register; plans for work on asbestos materials and the schedule for monitoring the materials condition. You should also be telling people about the decisions that you’re making.
